50TH NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK CELEBRATIONS

On the eve of 50^th National Library week dept. of library science organized orientation programme on OER and MOOCs for PG and UG students.

Dr. Rani Syamalmba attended as a chief guest and also a resource person for UGC sponsored National work on “Utilization of resources and networking of libraries held at DRW College, Gudur on 30 & 31^st October 2017.

Dept of lib & information science organized one day workshop on MOODLE administration on 28^th October 2017 .

Organised a One day national workshop on "Automation and Networking of Libraries" in association with Verus Solutions Pvt, Ltd, Hyderabad on 21st July 2017. Librarians, research scholars from Andhra and Telangana Districts attended the work shop.

On the eve of Hiroshima, Nagasaki Day dept of Library & Information science organized

an awareness programme on the impact of radiation on human life by ”Mundadugu” organization

from Calcutta on 9^th August 2017.

Attended as a resource person for capacity building programme for librarians at Navodaya leadership Institute, an autonomous Organisation under Ministry of HRD, Govt of India,Guntur and conducted two sessions for 36 librarians of southern region, India on 21/02/2017

National workshop on “Open Educational Resources (OER) on 20^th January 2017. About 70 members participated in the workshop. Professionals, library professionals, teaching faculty and scholars from various places of the country were present. Dr.P. Divakar , consultant, CDFD has attended as a resource person. The workshop created awareness among the participants on OER and MOOC.
